Local Restaurants/Bakeries (also see mail order)
Cafe Mahjaic
In Lotus near the river, nice dining ambiance. I was able to get GF meal with a little tweaking on a menu item. Their menu changes seasonally so look at their offerings online or call ahead.

Outback Steakhouse
This link should take you directly to a PDF of their GF menu; if it does not, their site is www.outback.com and you can navigate to it from their.

Bidwell Street Bistro
French/bistro restaurant that reportedly is open to accommodating dietary restrictions. Their regular menu is online.

Farmer's Kitchen Cafe
Cafe in Davis that serves delicious GF foods---but be prepared to spend some time there, the service is often slow.

Redbud Cafe
In Cameron Park, believe it or not! Fantastic salads and I've been able to get a GF entree when they weren't busy. It helps to call ahead.

Brookfield's Restaurant
They do not have a GF menu specifically, but since they make everything from scratch the menu items can be modified, or at least have a reliable ingredient list.

Azna Gluten Free
Mail order, or stop by their location in Cameron Park. GF Baked goods.

Red Robin
The Red Robin in Folsom apparently has a menu available, and it is a little more extensive than Mimi's.

Heyday Cafe
Menu changes seasonally---you can check it online and see if there is something that lends itself to GF preperation. Call ahead if in doubt.

Sequoia Restaurant
In Placerville, a lovely old historic building. Kathe says that they will work with you on GF items, but that it helps to go when they are not busy. Maybe call ahead?

Healthy Pleasures
Storefront is in Shingle Springs, off of S. Shingle near the post office. They also have mail order through their website. Most of their mixes and blends are SPELT based (not a GF food) but they are also carrying a selection of GF items like pastas, cookies, cereals, bars, beans, spice mixes, etc.

Taste Restaurant
Taste in Plymouth, menus available online and the staff is reportedly open to GF adaptations.
